PACT wins jury verdict in patent infringement suit against Xilinx and Avnet.
On May 14, 2012, a jury in the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division, returned a verdict finding that two patents held by PACT were valid and were infringed by Xilinx and Avnet. The jury further found that Xilinx’s infringement was willful, and it awarded damages to PACT in the amount of $15,399,900.00. The District Court is currently considering motions from the Defendants to overturn the jury’s award. It is also considering motions by PACT to award prejudgment interest, enhanced damages, attorney’s fees, an ongoing royalty on future infringing sales, and certain other relief.

PACT files a patent infringement lawsuit against Xilinx, Inc. and Avnet, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Marshall Division (PACT XPP Technologies, AG. v. Xilinx, Inc. and Avnet, Inc. Case No. 2:07-CV-563).
